As always, we’ve searched high and low for the best exhibitions, shows, concerts and events going on in Berlin. But that’s not all. This issue also contains tales of mentally unstable designers, sleep-deprived models and grueling grooming regimes – that’s right, Fashion Week is in town again! Our intrepid style expert, Nicolas Feireiss, reveals what goes into making those flawless outfits and professionally executed shows, with accompanying backstage snaps from the fantastic Kay Strasser.

Our nightlife expert, Jackie Asadolahzadeh, on the other hand, has turned her attention to the growing trend of literary salons in clubs. A cynic would put this down to the impending premiere of her very own literary salon, Liebes Tagesbuch, but we’re keeping an open mind (and 25% of the proceeds). Liebes Tagesbuch will dare to go where no literary salon has gone before, as Jackie&co. read aloud from their adolescent diaries.

On a less angsty note, we’ve also caught up with a variety of so-called Wahlberliner, or Berliners-by-choice, to find out what drew them to the city and, above all, what made them stay – a veritable declaration of love to Berlin.
