Kreuzberg’s much anticipated Chez Icke, will be bursting onto the Berlin nightlife scene for one month only on Thursday the 1^st of December. You’ll find all the usual things you would expect from a good bar: music, entertainment, a generous helping of conviviality… oh, and of course a BARvatar. You know, a walking, talking, drinking, dancing avatar for you to control in the bar from the comfort of your own home. HAU Theater and Danckwart&Hansen.film are behind the “Wirtsfactory” project, which can be described as a futuristically interactive bar-cum-performance-cum-social experiment. In addition to the BARvatar there will be Live-streaming enabling you to follow all the action online as well as real time blogging from none other than Jackie Asadolahzadeh, our beloved nightlife columnist, amongst others. If you’ve ever wondered what German deadpan looks like, now’s your chance to find out.

Chez Icke ist eines von diesen Berliner Projekten. Viele Dinge kommen da zusammen und wir sind gespannt, wie alles zusammengeht. Das interaktive soziale Experiment läuft in der Markthalle in der Kreuzberger Pücklerstraße. Es gibt dort eine Bar mit Musik, Getränken, Unterhaltung und einem BARvatar. Also einem laufenden, trinkenden, tanzenden Avatar, den man per Internet steuern kann. An dem Projekt beteiligen sich das bei Bühnenexperimenten versierte Berliner HAU Theater und Danckwart&Hansen Film.
